Four kids. One truck.

The business is named after them, and so is the way it runs.

Handyman work is one of the few trades where a small job is still a real job. Most outfits have grown past it.

A company running three crews needs whole bathrooms and whole roofs to keep them busy, so the faucet swap and the sticking door get quoted at a price meant to make you go away. That leaves an enormous amount of ordinary household work with nobody willing to do it.

So that is the work 4SEESons took. Jobs in the $200 to $2,000 range, around Lexington, Versailles, Nicholasville, and Harrodsburg. Faucets, fixtures, doors, drywall, gutters, decks, and the running list on the fridge that has been there since spring.

We are honest about the edges of it. Anything that needs a licensed electrician, plumber, or roofer gets said out loud before we book, not discovered halfway through. That costs us a few jobs and it is still the right way to run it.

Why is it spelled like that?

The SEES is four kids. Three girls and a boy, and every one of them has green eyes, which takes a green-eyed gene from both sides and is rare enough that people ask about it too. They are also active. All four play sports and have plenty of other hobbies besides.

How we work

Commitments that are easy to make and easy to check.

You get the price before the work

A range from the photos or the description, and a firm number before anything starts. If we find something behind the wall that changes it, you hear about it then, not on the invoice.

We turn down what we should not do

New circuits, gas, structural work, roofing. Plenty of people will take that job and figure it out on your house. We would rather hand you a name and keep the work we are good at.

One person, start to finish

The person who quotes it is the person who does it and the person who answers the phone afterwards. Nothing gets lost between an estimator and a crew.
